Celebrate Me Home is the title of the New York City Gay Men's Chorus' upcoming holiday concert, which will be presented Dec. 9 at Carnegie Hall.
The 8 PM performance, which launches the 29th season of the Chorus, will boast a special guest appearance by the cast of the recent Broadway musical [title of show], including Jeff Bowen, Hunter Bell, Susan Blackwell and Heidi Blickenstaff.
The evening will include carols from the Basque country, South Africa, Cuba and the Dominican Republic as well as such traditional favorites as "Sleigh Ride," "Silent Night" and "Joy to the World."
Charles Beale is artistic director of the Chorus; David Edelman is executive director.
In a statement artistic director Beale said, "At Carnegie Hall this December, you are going to see NYCGMC as you have never seen and heard it before. There will be beautiful new carols from around the world and traditional favorites. With the incredible cast of [title of show], a red-nosed reindeer, some Supremes, the Andrews Misters and over 200 gay men of all shapes and sizes, you are promised the warmest of welcomes!"
